Bambú Market is a thriving online platform that provides its customers with a variety of delicious healthy food made especially for them and delivers directly to their homes. “A new generation of healthy food.” You can find various dishes, from salads, tacos, hummus, pizzas, and healthy burgers.

Challenge

Bambú Market faces increased competition in the market and seeks to improve its business accessibility by validating and testing its ideas with a strong foundation in end-user needs and wants. This case study will explore Bambú Market's steps to enhance its business and stand out in a competitive market.

To deprecate Appdot, all the existing information across different environments (Shipping, Appdot, and Endeavor) should be organized and unified into one so the users can navigate between screen settings in one single place.

Design Sprint Workshop

Design Sprint is a multi-session process to quickly validate and test ideas with cross-functional teams. It involves defining the problem, prototyping solutions, testing with customers, and making data-driven decisions based on end-user needs and wants. It compresses potential months of work to less than two weeks.

01 - Understand

Bambú Market faced increased competition in the food delivery service market and sought to enhance its business accessibility. The company brought together cross-functional teams to understand the end-user needs and wants and define the problem they wanted to solve.

02 - Define

Based on their understanding of the end-user needs and wants, the teams defined the problem they wanted to solve. This step involved identifying key pain points and creating a clear and concise problem statement.

03 - Sketch

During this stage, the teams generated ideas and possible solutions to the defined problem. The sketch session was focused on creative brainstorming and generating a wide range of possibilities.

04 - Decide

Based on the most promising ideas from the sketch session, the teams decided which concepts to pursue and which to abandon. This stage involved evaluating each idea and making informed decisions about which concepts to move forward with.

Prototype

The teams then created prototypes of the most promising concepts, testing the viability of their ideas. These prototypes were low-fidelity and quickly created to allow for iteration and further testing.

Test

The final prototype was then tested with end-users to gather feedback and validate their concepts. This stage provided valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the prototype and allowed for further refinement and improvement.

4 out of 5 users mentioned the interface is more user-friendly and clearer than the competition.

3 of 5 users showed interest in the series of questions at the beginning, however, questions need to be reformulated in order to be more effective and clear.

4 out of 5 users mentioned an interest in having a quick search option.

There was great interest in nutritional information and comparison views of the dishes available.

Results

In the end, Bambú Market made significant, sustainable improvements to its business strategy. They decided to choose a big challenge as developing a mobile app for their clients, testing this risky idea and allowing the optimized sprint process to deliver the best results in the least time.
